Rice in Minutes

 

Start with 3 cups of hot cooked rice and spark it up with any of the following.

Parmesan Plus
Stir in 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese and 2 tsp. butter.  Great with veal or chicken.

Snappy Spinach 
Stir in 1 cup chopped spinach, fresh or cooked, and 2 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice.  Serve with fish or chicken.

Savory Stuffing 
Stir in 1 tbsp. butter, 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning and 2 stalks thinly sliced celery.  A terrific dish with chicken and turkey.

Curried Almond
Stir in 1 tsp. curry powder and 1/2 cup chopped almonds.  Perfect with chicken.

Lemon Dill
Stir in 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill and 2 tsp. grated lemon peel.  Good with fish. 

County Bacon
Stir in 4 slice crumbled cooked bacon and 1 cup cooked peas.  Great served with burgers.

Hot Pepper
Stir in 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce and 1/2 red pepper, seeded and chopped.  Excellent with steak. 

Herbed Vegetable
Stir in 1 cup cooked frozen mixed vegetables and 1 tsp. dried basil.  Serve with burgers or veal.
