Ingredients



1/2  box penne, orecchiette or small shell pasta
2 cups fresh or frozen peas (optional)
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tbsp. drained capers
1 can tuna, drained
1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh parsley
12 small cherry tomatoes (optional)

Pasta with Tuna and Capers



1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package directions. Add peas, if using, 5 minutes before you expect pasta to be done. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan set over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and sauté until onion softens, about 5 minutes. Add wine and capers. Simmer 3 minutes. Toss with drained pasta, peas, tuna, parsley and tomatoes, if using.
