Ingredients



2 cups macaroni
3 tbsp. margarine
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cup bread crumbs
1 lb. sausage
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can tomatoes, large

 Baked Macaroni and Sausages



Boil macaroni as usual, drain.
Brown sausages on both sides and drain off fat.
Measure into same pan 2 tbsp. margarine add chopped onion and cook till tender.
Mix sugar, salt, pepper and tomatoes and just bring them to a boil.
Grease casserole dish and put 1/2 the cooked macaroni into it, cover with sausages, then add 1/2 the tomato mixture, (hot).
Add balance of macaroni and rest of tomato mixture.
Sprinkle bread crumbs on top of casserole.
Bake in oven at 375 degrees (uncovered) until the mixture is heated through and bubbling.  About 30 min.
