1 pint of strawberry (or cherry) ice cream
1 qrt. of strawberry (or cherry) soda
4 marshmallows
4 maraschino cherries

Recipe from Mix and Fix Cook Book

Put a large scoop of ice cream, partially melted, in the bottom of a large, tall glass.

Pour in a small amount of soda, and stir until partly blended.  Leave some small lumps of ice cream to float in the drink.

Pour in more soda, to nearly fill the glass.

Using a butter knife or spoon handle, make a little slit in a marshmallow.  Push a cherry into the slit just deep enough to keep on top of the marshmallow.

With a spoon, set the marshmallow lightly on the surface of the float.

Repeat these steps to fill four glasses in all.  serve with straws and iced teaspoons.
