Ingredients


2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. dry sherry
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. finely grated fresh ginger root
1 crushed garlic clove
4 salmon steaks, (about 1" thick)

Salmon Teriyaki


Preheat broiler.  Stir the soy sauce with the sherry, sugar, ginger root and garlic.  Place the salmon steaks on a lightly greased broiler rack set in a shallow pan.  Generously brush the top of the steaks with the soy mixture.

Broil the steaks 6" from the broiler for 5 min.  Turn salmon and generously brush with the soy mixture.  Continue to broil for 4 to 5 more min. or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.  Any remaining soy mixture can be covered and stored in the refrigerator.
