Ingredients


6 eggs
1/4 cup (50 mL) mayonnaise 
Pinch of salt and ground black pepper
1 onion, chopped fine

Basic Devilled Eggs


1. Hard-cook eggs. When completely cooled, remove shells. Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out yolks and place in a bowl.

2. Add mayonnaise and onion. Using a fork, finely mash with yolks. Taste and add salt and pepper, if needed. Spoon mixture into egg centres. Arrange devilled eggs on a plate, cover loosely and refrigerate until ready to serve.
