If a cake wont' turn out after you've runa knife around the edges of the pan, return it to a warm oven for 1 to 2 min.  Then, turn it out immediately.

If a ckes kinks in the center, fill it with fresh frut and frost the sides, or patch the centre with frosting or whipped cream. 

If a cake bulges too much in the ceter, just slice off the top and frost.

If the cake is dry, slice it in half horizontally and brush with a liqueur or concentreaed orange juice it can also be cut into pieces and used to make trifle or bread pudding.
