Ingredients

1/3 cup margarine
1/4 cup sugar
1 med. egg
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup milk

 Shortcake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream margarine and sugar then add egg, vanilla, and milk to mixture.
Mix flour, salt, and baking powder together and add to margarine mixture.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x9" square cake pan.
Bake for about 20 min or until golden brown.

Note:
You may want to try slitting the shortcakes in half and adding butter or margarine while hot for added flavor.

Serve topped with fruit (strawberries, blueberries, ect.) and whipped cream.
