Ingredients



1 lb. lean ground beef
2 smoked sausages, regular or barbecue, chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 med. onion, finely chopped
Ground pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
1/2 tsp. ground sage
1/2 tsp. ground savory
1 slice brown bread, crust removed, finely chopped
1 tbsp. corn oil
28 oz. canned tomatoes, drained and diced
10 oz. commercial beef sauce
3 tbsp. 2% milk

Meat Balls



Combine the ground beef, sausages, garlic, onion, pepper, marjoram, sage, savory and bread in a bowl; mix well.

Make 1" meat balls with the mixture.  Heat the oil in a non stick pan and brown the meat balls.

Drain the grease from the pan; add the tomatoes, the brown sauce and the milk to the meat balls.  Cover and let simmer for 15 to 20 min.

Serve with pasta: garnish with parsley.

Note:
You can replace the the ground beef with ground chicken or turkey in this recipe.
